Where does everyone get their props?
Hey gang,
I need to buy some spare 8045 props for a tricopter I just purchased. Not carbon fiber. Just plain old props. ......for now. In the past I've ordered props from Amazon and I've been somewhat satisfied with the quality. But the wait is something I'm not fond of! Sometimes we're talking 3 or 4 weeks! I was wondering if there was an online source for props (like I said, plain old props not carbon fiber) where I could buy 4 to 8 sets (CW & CWW) in two colors at one time. HobbyKing has a US warehouse but their delivery time still leaves a lot to be desired |

Ok, I like the fact that they are a responsive American based firm! (i.e. Exactly what I was looking for) I was looking at the GemFan looked at the GEMFAN 8X4.5 COLORS PLASTIC I like the fact that you can order each color in the rotation you want. Since this is for a TriCopter I'm going with black in the back( CCW) and red or orange up from (CW/CCW) I assume that when they say "Normal" rotation they mean CW, and "Reverse" means CCW right? |

I'm holding off ordering my summer supply until the big RC Flea Market at Lebanon, PA fairgrounds this Sat. There's a vendor there that has a decent supply of GF sizes & colors at reasonable prices. It's nice to be able to pick what you want off the rack.
I just have to avoid impulse buys at any of the other 600+ tables Ralph |

"Big RC Flea Market in Lebanon PA" you say?
Interesting,.......VERY interesting! I'm about 1 1/2 - 2 hours away from there. Do you have a link for this event you can share? Quote:

Thanks for the link. That location is only about 1 hr 30 min away. I'm definitely going to try and make it. Hopefully we get some nice weather for the event.

I get all mine from RMRC, great selection of in stock props and they actually reorder when they run out of one kind (not like some stores that won't reorder till they're all out of a brand of them)

"R"= right direction = CW rotation.
Unmarked props = CCW rotation. Do not ask me why. I assumed "R" to mean reverse rotation when I first built my quadcopter. It made me crazy to watch the quad sit there with props spinning at full throttle. I'd probably be still staring at the quad if not for the help of a fellow builder cyber-friend. |

Thanks for that. But if you follow that link I provided you'll notice that the Gemfan props are decribed as "Normal" and "Reverse"
Does "Normal" mean CW? Quote:
