We had a little bit of a scare on the radar Saturday morning with some rain passing through the area but wound up being a beautiful sunny day. Sunday was even nicer with a cool breeze. Thank you everyone for coming out!

OVSS Series Conclusion for 2016

The 2016 OVSS series concludes this weekend (Oct 1-2) with the 7th event. This year there is a tight race in both the Masters and Sportsman categories. See the current scores at:
Five pilots are capable of winning Masters and two are capable in the Sportsman category. All seven of these individuals are planning on traveling to Muncie to compete for their final scores and standings. This will provide us with an exciting conclusion to this year’s season. There are plaques and DX9 transmitters for the winners of both categories. Thanks you Horizon Hobbies for supporting this series. The weather forecast is ideal for soaring this weekend. Everyone is welcome to come fly and/or watch some of the top pilots in the Midwest compete in this head to head competition.

Thanks Norm

Even though the age of computers and the internet have made his life a little less taxing the OVSS owes a big THANK YOU! To Norm 'Satellite Kid' Poti for all he does to manage the midwest's premier contest series. Hauling around the Remus trophy safely to Muncie alone deserves serious kudos. I am glad to be a small part of the action so Norm can play too. Thanks Norm!
