Master Gain On Radio

I have the Guardian and my question has to do with Master gain vs. individual axis gain. If I have an axis set at 50 on the Guardian, will the master gain never drive that axis gain above 50, even if the knob on the radio is set at max gain? If so, with the radio knob is set at 50%, will the gain for the axis now be 25?
