Quick Jet Design Contest update...
Just to let you know what is going on:
As of now there are 34 entries in the contest. Several people have more than one entry. Absolutely great turn out. And there is still time for more to join in. There are composite models, balsa models, foam models, sport jets to fantasy to scale. From Micro EDF up to 90mm ones. Right now there are only 4 pushers, so someone needs to step up with another, I'm sure someone will. On Aug 16th I will post up a list of the everyone in the contest (ezone name), and the name of their project so everyone can see all the cool stuff being worked on. Some may start threads on their designs, and some may not, but either way, it's looking like we will be seeing quite a few cool jets hit the sky. Thanks to everyone that has entered and still plans to.
Some really cool stuff in the works. I wish luck to everyone.
Right now there are 4 vendors that have pledged their support to the contest:
Electric Aero Modeling USA - http://www.eam.net
Dymond Modelsports Ltd. - http://www.rc-dymond.com
Castle Creations - http://www.castlecreations.com/
Mountain Models - http://www.mountainmodels.com/
And there are a few more I am talking with.
Also, here are some links to threads created by some of the people in the contest of their work (if you have one and it's not here, PM the link to me and I'll add it, sometimes I do miss things...):
CRAZYPILOT & clausxpf:
A few things. First, please PM me rather than email about the contest. I'm having bad email problems and am not able to reply.
Second, who's gonna round out the pushers in the contest?
Last of all... For the vendors supporting the contest, here is what some of the other vendors have offered up as prizes...
Mountain Models - GWS EDF 75
Dymond Modelsports - Several gift certificates.
Castle Creations - Phoenix 45 ESC
I would like to make a suggestion and hope everyone chimes in with your thoughts.
As everyone moves forward with there designs I'm sure everyone will have some questions / need help from the EDF community. What if we had a common question thread so as to consolidate the information? This would have another side effect; Folks could follow/view/respond from a single thread and help answer our questions.
For example, I have several LiPo question, and would prefer to have the EDF guys answer them instead of posting the question in "Power System".
