Woodstock video first flight


Robert, Thanks for posting video, Brings back that tense feeling for the first few minutes wondering if there was enough wind, thinking that I might have to land out this brand new model after a years work.

I had some difficulties posting on You tube, so here are the specifics if you want to add.

- 1/3 scale of the 13 meter Woodstock. The original Woodstock was 12 meter.
- Used several resources. Jim Ely's (sp) 1/4 scale plans blown up 1.32 times.
- My own autocad drawings based on publised 3 views.
- A friend loaned me some full size plans that he had so I was able to review.

Wing span 172"
Wing area 1849 square inches
Weight appr. 13 Lbs.
Wing loading 16 oz / square foot.
Airfoil: Epler 197

Construction:
Fussalage: Ply bulkheads with spruce stringers sheeted with thin ply and painted.
Wings, Spruce spars with .014 thick carbon caps, Kevlar wrapped. Balsa ribs sheeted with 1/16 balsa from Spar to leading edge. Trailing edge carbon .030 x .500. Wings covered in Solartex.
