Question

WLT F959 brushless

I'm sure somene already did the BL conversion, I order the HK 1230 motor and 10amp esc , also the BL signal converter so I can keep the stock tx/rx , has anyone tried this set up?, I have used the BL signal converter before on helis and it worked fine , I don't have my F959 yet ( should have it today) but I hear that the brushed motor gets so hot that the prop comes off in flight , also the motor needs to be replaced every 10-15 flights ?, does anyone know what prop (other than stock) would work on this plane ?

Scroll down to the bottom of this page to the 'Similar Threads' list.

There is quite a large thread on the WLtoys F959 Sky King, there may be the information you require in there, worth a look if you haven't already seen it.

I t depends on how you fly the plane, if you give about fifteen minutes between each flight and not push the throttle hard, those motor can last quite long time, many of my micro plane and quadcopter motor and brushed but they are quite durable.

I have converted a couple of F929 boards to brushless. I used a mx3a speed control and a high kv (4-6000) motor 8 to 11 grams. It runs under 3amps max. on a 150-300mah 1s battery. Granted this isn't the exact board that yours had but it should be similar.

I have shown it before but here is my 2 ounce plane with a f929 board flying with this setup.
Vintage Meteor with New Motor (2 min 44 sec)

If you look here you will see how to wire the MX-3a. https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...4#post34019218
