Using TGY i6 to get 6 switch modes w/ original firmware

I am not usually one to post this type of stuff, but I had such a difficult time trying to find the info on the net, I decided to post my solution here. I have a TGY i6 with original firmware and wanted to set up a 6 position switch mix for APM. Here is my solution for anyone else struggling.

First I changed the end points for CH 5 to 67% and 72%.
I left the end points of CH 6 at 100% and 100%.
I then set channel 5 to the three position switch (SW C) and channel 6 to SW D.
I then set up two mixes
Both mixes set up channel 5 as a slave and 6 is the master.
For mix 1 I set up a positive mix of 60%, neg mix of 0% and 0% offset
For mix 2 I set up a positive mix of 0%, neg mix of 68% and 0% offset.

It took me quite a bit of playing around with mission planner and my TX, but I got there. Hope this saves someone else the work. If anyone out there can set up an excel spreadsheet that mathematically figures this out, it would be very helpful as I really don't understand how it all works.
