FPV Gate Chase

Ok.

So I've done it - I've mounted an Eachine 1000TV cam + ET200 TX on P61 nose and here is the effect. This is my first FPV flight

FPV Gate challenge (4 min 1 sec)

Actual footage is from Xiaomi Yi action cam mounter to my son's quad, but the main point is I was able to fly thru the gates with no problem.

I was piloting with Eachine D2VR googles (the on ground footage has been recorded with them). Unfortunately once I turn my motors ON some small "flyable" statics were causing the DVR to go nuts and the recording is horrible... but this is another subject. Although the video was absolutely OK and the fun was awesome.

Later that day I crashed my P61... to be rebuild in EPP

A new version of P-61 is being built:
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/UL...g=s840-tmp.jpg

It is made purely from EPP instead of styrofoam/XPS.

Wings made same way - except the kfm profile has been created by folding 6mm sheet leading edge over 8mm base wing.
Reinforcement is made from 6mm carbon fiber tubes instead of pine wood.

The biggest change in design is the center fuse - now it is EPP structure vs XPS pice. I hope I can hide all electronics in the fuse to have a clean build.

Motors have been upgraded to GARTT 2206-1400kV. ESC to be simple BLHELI 12A. Pack to vary from 1300 3s zippy to 1550 3s Tattu.

45C - this is more than ample - the motors take approximately 20A total

Ready to fly - but not painted.
505g AUW - w/o paint.
Extremely clean build as for my standards I managed to hide almost all cables.
The Receiver is in the top back where the elevator servo enters the fuse.

Today I've tried her in combat contest . Right now just quick photo before flight with her sister. Combat footage when I gather it from friends.
