Ki-43II

Hy guys,
I just finished my new homemade rc combat plane and I would like to share it with you!!
The warbird is the famous Japanese Ki-43 II used by the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force in WWII and I have decided to reproduce it because of its simplicity of construction.

Before the realization I like to create the 3D model with a software to verify the joints:

First of all I cut wings and the "shells" of the fuselage and then I assembled them on the drawing to ensure the right accommodation:

With the tape, temporarily, I attach the parts together and this is the result (rudder and elevator made of coroplast):

Now, a new way to reinforce the wings (instead of the two carbon rods):

In the end I cover wings and fuselage with wrapping paper:

I have to fix the wings with rubber bands, and create the canopy to definitively complete the airplane.

Little update

I glued two carbon rods in proximity of leading edge and trailing edge to attach the rubber bands. A foam rubber strip will prevents damages due to air collisions:

I will use this electrical set up (like almost in all my rc combat planes):
Motor: turnigy D2830 -1000kv
Propeller: APC 8x6
Servos: 3x 9g (one for elevator and two for the wings)
ESC: 20-30A
Battery: 3s 1300mah

At full throttle, I usually fly for 5 minutes otherwise 7-8 minutes

How do you cut the fuselage? Do you have some kind of template? Do you have a Feather Cut system. Can you post pic's of the process?

As soon as possible I will show you the process. I use a little bow with hot wire to cut wings/fuselage.
