Maiden flight today, on a mountain at around 1600m above sea level.
I guess it was a real maiden flight, since I never flew a drone before...

The battery charging took around 4 hours (using the cheap charger included, I will test with a real charger later).
Compass calibration went fine, when I understood the right way to do it.
Flight in "normal mode" is easy, the drone keeps the altitude fine, and you don't have to understand where it is heading, since it always remember the initial heading when it took off.
I had 9 satellites locked (starting from 6 when I switched on the remote), and the return to home function worked as expected.
Only drawback was the landing, since the drone is very short, and it flipped over in the rough grass.
I should add some landing pod...
The h501c is not very stable in the wind, but it's very light too, so it was expected.
Nothing to be worried anyway.
It flies very well and I guess it will be even more fun in "expert" mode.
After around ten minutes the battery indicator showed half bars, but it's a very tiny and inaccurate icon on the small remote's display, so...
I didn't expect that the remote batteries (4 Eneloop AAAs) discharged so quickly (almost 2/3 remaining), we'll see how they behave.
The remote is very light and easy to handle.
I didn't test the video or the photo functions, but I will soon, I bought this drone in order to learn to fly before using the Phantom.
I didn't check how far the drone can go, I don't want to lose it, it doesn't have any FPV function, or so I believe.
I couldn't find the "follow me" function in the manual, anyone know if it's possible?

All in all I am satisfied, my first flight ended well and I didn' t break anything!

There's no external antenna.
The right button isfor RTH.
Tomorrow I will attach a copy of the manual remote page.
And btw, I believe that the drone is exactly the same of the h501s, the only difference looks the remote.
I really guess that if I should bind it to a Fpv2 or a Fpv1, it would get the fpv and the missing follow me function...
