1st attempt after 15 years
Here is my jump back into the hobby. 50 inch armin wing DTFB with 3/8 square wooden spar and 3/8 in stick fuse. installing the gear now and hope to try to fly back into the hobby this weekend...Only problem is I spend each evening finding 2 or 3 more plans I want to build "next" as soon as I think I have found the next one.... I see the new "next" one. Good thing you can build one of these foamies for a few bucks and a few evenings...Come to think of it...the cost of the beer consumed during the build exceeds the cost of the build. Now THAT;S a bargain!

some of them last a long time, I just retired my original 42 inch BluBaby and swapped the gear into a new MPF one with 3" wide fuse for fpv, etc. (gotta have at least one BB!) On top of that I flew yesterday at the indoor, a gpw stealth sport i built as early as 2006. It's the only remaining pink foam fanfold plane I have - ugly as sin, but still flys, so why not??

True !!! What Springer said !!! Sometimes they last so long we have to give them away to OFB (old flying buddies ) ... They do clog up the hanger after a while ... they're like Potato chips (crisps) ...

We want video, but not of the plane! We want video of your face while flying. It's a joy many people don't understand... (grown men playing like children with little toy aeroplanes! MPHFFF!) |
