Where are you on the politalcompass ?

As Bigfoot48 posted: (this thread is his idea)

"Check out where you stand in the political/economic/social spectrum. While a British site, it's seems applicable to those in the U.S.."

http://64.224.73.234/politicalcompass/index.html

post your actual results

here are mine:

Economic Left/Right: 2.50
Authoritarian/Libertarian: -2.36

Therefore I am a moderate libertarian-right type

how about you?

The perfect place to be! IMHO, of course. Right wing economically and a little bit authoritarian (spank those kids!)

The chart places you where you are -today-... not some time in the past or will be in the future.
-1.50,-4.56!!!
.
I found no "Strong agreement" on most everything when I was agreeable, but several where I "Strongly disagreed" to the point!

I used to be much more libertarian but

It seems that the powerful will flout civility to the degree they are able and the free market is skewed beyond all easy shifts to deregulation. If I could only kick the wings/fighter aircraft obsession I could be more left.

I kinda expected (hoped) for a little higher right, and lower libertarian!

Interesting excercise.

Hmm. a bit further left than I expected, but not unhappy,
-4.6 & -5.4 I found the same as sparky, in that most of the things I agreed with I just agreed with but more of the things I disagreed with I strongly dissagreed with, interesting, if a little simplistic.

hugh
