How does the rubber compound compare between the two tires? I'd assUme the Losi rubber to be more 'sticky' than the Basher rubber.

Oh yeah, much more sticky. Looks more scale too for sure.

Basher rubber isn't terrible, but you can tell it is more for durability and has little flex. On some surfaces like cloth it is pretty good actually, but I know these upgrade tires will be way better on all surfaces.

Losi is sticky and mushy, but has foams which stiffen it up. The M/Ts are really sticky, even stickier than Losi brand tires I think. Can't wait to try them out.

Debating on CNC beadlocks now.. I really shouldn't though. Spent enough already! LOL It would be sweet though.

I just scored one of these from another forum member. Would like some more scale wheels to make it more like a scale rock bouncer.

I just ordered these- https://www.rpphobby.com/ProductDeta...ctCode=GEA1258
No beadlock, but after messing around with the beadlocksa on the Losi wheels, I don't really want to have to do that all the time. Took forever taking them all off and then reinstalling them.

Yesterday I removed stock Losi tires from the Losi wheels and installed the Mickey Thompsons. Looks pretty sweet.

I used "Parfix 1122 debonder" (99% Nitromethane!) to remove the CA. It was a PITA and took a long time but finally got all the tires off without damage. Had safety glasses on and rubber gloves and everything.

So now I have the Losi Wheels with M/T Baja Claw tires. Will take some pics. I actually ended up using the foams because it seemed like w/o it the tires didn't have much structure.

I also glues a lead weight on top of the front servo- but that's just to experiment, I can pull it off later.

Working on shocks now. I ordered some Losy shocks and red cat sumo springs. I hope I can improve the stock shocks or use something else.. All the other ones seem shorter though. Stock shocks are not great.

Very nice! I'm looking at getting an Axial SCX10 to start in on surface vehicles. Been flying RC for a several years. I think I might need to grab one of these kits and build a brushless model.

BWX, how's your brushless coming along?

I don't even have the kit yet. Should be here soon.

There was another dude that commented on one of my Rocksta vids who was trying a brushless setup with some motors and an ESC from HK, but not sure how that's coming along yet. If it works for him, I may try it. Some more speed would be ok as long as you could still crawl really slow.

Looks good. Those wheels costs almost as much as the Rocksta itself.

LOL yeah I guess that's right. Rocksta was around $65 (+ about $22 shipping) and those wheels were around $49, but I got a $5- code on more than $50 purchased, so I got something that cost about $1 to make the code work. So I guess they were a little less than $49.

They do look cool as hell though! :-)

P.S. I had some digital metal gear servos that I got to fit on there too- and those are sweet. Very powerful, very quick, and center great. Oh, and they are also quiet which sounds nice.

Out of interest, I had read the ESC is only "on/off", and doesnt seem to have any throttle curve, is that true?

I was sure it wasn't, but you never know.
