I bought just the wings from the avistar 30cc and build my own fuselage stick with dle 30cc and It is the best stick I ever built everyone at the club say I have the best stick they cant believe how clean and nice it is. I love the plywood ribs.
I am waiting for great plane to make a 30cc of the Cherokee plane with a one piece cabin top just like the little one they could use the same wing design. |

Maidened- flew great with Dle 35RA 19x8 Xoar (for break in) hitec 5645's all around. Relion 2600 LiION regulated to 6v. Manual stated throws worked great, and I programmed the flaps to come down about half speed with just a touch of down elevator. Only 3 flights, but got lucky with the factory engine settings- easy to fly and land, and my intention is to play around with super slow flight with the flaps.
GVA, I'm not home today, but I'll measure the landing gear distance you asked for this weekend- |

So here's my story that I would like to share. I have flown my Avistar 4 times. Maidened 2 weeks ago. On my fourth flight, I noticed the horizontal stab violently fluttering at high speed. Landed and noticed one of the elevator steel threaded clevis had pulled off of the steel threaded rod. Didn't know that could happen. I am running a DLE 30, perhaps the vibration? ARF parts? It is actually the rod that stripped. I am going to change all the clevises out with Dubro Safety Kwik Links. The good news is the aircraft handled amazing with only one elevator!

Here is what I built using the avistar 30 wings. DLE 40 twin on it.
Recovered the wing built my own fuselage and tail. I use fults nose gear that you cant buy anymore. I have been using Dubro Safety Kwik Links for years now and never had one fail. as you can see I have them on my stick. |

New Build
Well I bought the float set a while back when they were on sale. Was going to use them on 110" Rascal build. But then I saw they had this on sale and also noticed a glider tow set up was available so...
It showed up today and is quite nice. Covering is good and will only take a little touching up. More work may be necessary after its out of the bags for a while but that is pretty much to be expected. Kinda wonder if the fire wall needs beefing up if running gas. Doesn't seem to be very beefy. Not sure if I am going to do gas or electric. Sort of wonder why they only show the float portion of the video as an electric. Would be nice if a 40 twin would bolt up. Best I can tell you would have to run a y pipe and mount a can externally. Not sure how that would look. The stock mufflers would get in the way of the cowl. |

I still fly it. I put a Valley View 40 twin in it. A little stupid to be honest. Gonna put a 35RA in it to tame it a bit. No other issues. Solid good flying plane. Actually picked up another that was assembled and not flown. If I keep it I might set it up electric for easier float flying.

Can you provide the fuse width, length and height where that big battery pack will go? It would be very much appreciated. |
