Differential :

In the video we can see that i had a little bit difficulty with front diff. . So i have inspected it :

Size: 30.6 KB
Description:
These planetaries are so small but seems enough for this scale. I have added 1 big drop of thick silicone oil in both diff. . Now front diff. works fine.

Plastic :

Front bumper, shock tower and body mount are quite soft, all the others are quite hard.

Plastic CVD :

There is ball bearing everywhere, except on steering but for this scale it is ok.
Front and rear knuckle are same. Front and rear a-arm are same.

Steering :

At low speed (if you want to use it inside your home) it doesn't turn too much. Servo's arm has two adjustment holes, i have changed for the second, doesn't change too much :

Size: 3.8 KB
Description:

Outside it isn't the same, as you can go faster the car drift a little or can turn on his back quickly, so steering is just enough.

A little bit disassembled :

Description:

First use :

Car works quite nice. Go fast for his size (i don't believe the 40km/h wrote on the box) and is quite nervous. Go straight, Good maneuverability.

Video :

This car is strong!

Speed test :

WLtoys - A212 1/24 Savage - Stock Speed test (1 min 55 sec)

11 march 2016

First conclusion :

Quite suprised. This car is well built, well assembled, well designed. It look like quite same as bigger scale. The size is small but not too much. Tx/Rx seems smooth enough to use it as a crawler, with these big and large tyres it help also.

Pros :

- Strong.
- Stable.
- Fast.
- Well built.
- RTR.

Cons :

- Body clips fall with big crash ^^.

Motor modification :

I done a test with 2440 motor. It can be fitted. There are differents distance size for screws and 1 of them works. Only need to enlarge hole to pass M2.5 screws in holes.

Motor shaft diameter is 2.3mm so it is a little bit tricky to put the original motor pinion as it is for 2mm but with a hammer and patience it works also.

Size: 146.5 KB
Description:

As i thought, there is not lot of space between motor and center drive shaft but it will be ok imo.

Obviously 2440 motor is too long, but a 2430 will fit perfectly.

Brushless attempt :

With a 2430 7200kv motor :

After :

These shock absorbers are very nice and way better than stock fricton shock absorber. They are very small but built like for a more big scale.

As you can see i have also bought A222 wheels.

On mine i don't feel the need to do a break-in. After have rebuilt front diff. and have added silicone oil it works fine. I have directly use it at full throttle before added oil, only rebuilt. It is really easy to do maintenance on this car. Unfortunately weather is too bad here to do a good video outside for the moment.

Looks really fast, maybe too fast for indoor use. But I'm gonna get one for indoor bashing anyway. :P

Depend of the size of your house ^^. But yes, it is quite fast for indoor. But you're not in the obligation to always put full throttle. I have chased a little bit my cats with it indoor , but they are too afraid ^^. I already made it fall in stair, nothing broken.

Is it have Differential in "both" gear boxes? Seems wheels always turn the same way in video 5:50s.

I have a P929(1/28) truck with Differential & metal CVD, really nice mini car.
