Nice one ... only trouble is - I tend to find another fuselage to fit and they fly on ...

I've noticed that boa2110 can do things with foam that I would not have thought possible.

Oh no, my favorite topic has dropped to the second page! Ok, you may not think it is genius, but as Whiskers pointed out, some people are just plane creative. (pun intended) So what is a good possible use for ummm... plastic solo cups, guitar strings? Or how about the nylon material that came with the $1 store kite (where we scavenged the CF tubes from) ?

I meant to do that. Honest!

Is that a trick question or are you really trying to find uses for that stuff?

Put an edf in the solo cup, use the guitar strings to hook it up to the DT kite and have a very interesting rc kite.

I thought about using one of those tiny blow up pool rings that are toddler size to build a hovercraft with.

Nylon cloth can be used to strengthen and toughen a structure.
For example, say we have a piece of plywood glued to the bottom of a foamy fuselage to serve as a landing gear mount. A piece of cloth glued over the ply and extending a reasonable distance over the adjacent foam adds a great amount of strength for very little added weight.

I needed to replace an ESC's Deans plug with an XT60 and I had limited access to the job.
Pliers and a rubber band held the thing nicely for soldering and it worked well and got the job done easily.

Neat trick, I'll probably have to use this some day
