Looks like its expending a great deal of energy to flip itself back over. I wonder how this effects run time?? Say if it has to flip itself back over twice in one session...

2 3s 5000 mah. 2 times no problem. saves you from having to walk down the stand 50 yards round trip 4 min walking to and from to flip it over. I didn't notice much difference at the track.

So you're happy with using 3S 5000mah batteries? I'm trying to find a good pair of 8400mah packs for my Xmaxx but Hobbyking stopped carrying them and there don't appear to be to many other options outside of Traxxas packs.

Oh yes. I fly 2 3s 5000 mah on my Eflite Carbon Cub and my new Eflite Trojan. I have 8 packs of batteries and to be able to use them on XMAXX is awesome. I dont have to go buy new batteries.

That would be a great "value add" but I thought 8400mah packs would be helpful for the added weight and run times. Hopefully my 5000mah packs are still good enough.

Well I have turnigy 3s 5000mah 65 constant-130 burst discharge and let me say the motor gets a little hot on a scale 1-100 85. The batteries a little warm on a scale from 1-100 I'd say 15. cant really tell its warm. I don't think they will ever puff from overheating and probably last way longer.

So HV is definitely not a good option without dropping the gear ratio.
![]() I'm going to order my Xmaxx after the holiday...thanks to Tower which decided to wait until the 24th to release all of my gift certificates. ![]() |
