I 3d printed some cleats and put on the navigation lights. (Not working. Yet.)

Salty Salt

The HiTec HS-485HB servo has arrived and I worked out the (first version of the) mechanical part of the rudder. I filed (?) the rudder's shaft so it is not rounded any more. Then I put a 3d printed small something with a screw fixing it.

I have finished the foresail and the mainsail as well. I was hand sewing, but I am satisfied with the results. So finally I could put the sails on. My very first model boat has all the sails already. I am proud of her.

A great looking model!

Thanks, OurBlue, she's a beauty! Have many good voyages!
I hope Gary will get word of and see videos of at least a thousand Irenes.
Imagine a school shop class or scout troop building a fleet...all the learning and enjoyment!

Would have been better video if I had someone else sail the yacht. As for the brown sails as Garry says you can almost smell the tar.. Think she could withstand more of a blow.

After taking care of a few other distractions, I've finally managed to put in some more time on the boat construction.

The sliding hatch cover and drop boards were a time-consuming and fiddly task. But it's a fun detail.

Doesn't it just make you itch to build one of those next? But can you imagine how much that would cost?
