A little more progress......here is a view of the 1/32 ply sammiched between 1/8 balsa for the rudder outline, the finger joints have been staggered for a touch more rigidity, I brought the rudder stringers all the way to the leading and trailing edges of the outline and added some soft sheet filler at the bottom areas to blend in. I also pre bent the tail wheel wire ahead of time and just moved the plan to the edge of the building board so the bent section of the wire hung (hanged?) over the edge. Total weight two ounces.

Also made up a ply mount box for the eflite 32 motor, not sure at this point if I'll fix it to the front of the nacelle or directly to the fuselage. Suggestions?

Nice to see you back Jack! I've decided the mount is going to be fixed directly to the fuselage, that will make several thing easier.

Christmas was good, glad the traveling is over though, it rained the entire trip from North Carolina to central ohio to Iowa and back. How was your holiday? What would you like to know about World War Two?
