GitUp Git2 - 16MP Sony CMOS, Gyro, RC, Ext. Mic, Wi-Fi, GoPro size **Owners Thread**GitUp For Action Git2 PRO The new Git2 made by the GitUp has been just released. As we were expecting from the Git1 then new Git2 also uses a top quality back-illuminated 16 Megapixel Sony CMOS sensor. The technical platform has also been revamped and it's now based on the new and powerful NTKNTK96660 Novatek chipset. The form factor has remained the same like on the Git1 and it's 100% GoPro size which yet again makes it compatible not only with a huge array of accessories like waterproof cases, frame mounts and flexible joints but also with most gimbals thus making it a worthy candidate for aerial videos. SONY Exmor 16MP Image Sensor The Git2 was built without compromises so a back illuminated 16 megapixels Sony Exmor IMX206 was chosen for this compact action camera. The sensor has seen vast implementation on digital still cameras and camcorders. The newly developed sensor package had realized a approximate reduction in volume ratio, making it about 53% smaller and thinner compared with the existing products of type 1/2.3", with a 16M pixels resolution. Also, the revised technology used enabled 33% lower power consumption at full HD 1080p output compared with the existing products on the market which translates into better battery life. Gyroscopic Stabilization The Git2 uses hardware digital image stabilization with the help of a gyroscopic (accelerometer) senor. When this feature is enabled, the working technique is based on shifts of the electronic image from frame to frame of video, enough to counteract the motion or at least minimize it's presence. This is done by using pixels outside the border of the visible frame to provide a buffer zone from which to crop the motion but this will also reduce the resolution in some cases. To have noticeably good results this systems uses the input of a accelerometer to "measure" the needed movement and thus selecting the correct regions for cropping based on the movement or shaking of the camera. In most of the cases the gyro works so well that even hand holding the camera without any kind of monopod or handle generates much more steady images and prevents annoying shake External Microphone A lot of people request this feature from an action cam, either you want to record an engine sound from under the hood, or your voice when cycling this feature is only found on expensive GoPro's. The most budget cameras only have a internal microphone that has a limited quality. The new Git2 not only has an external microphone but it also supports twin microphones or a stereo microphone for capturing really immersive sounds. Remote Control Using a mobile phone or tablet for remote functions is not always convenient. The Git1 will have an optional purchasable wrist watch size remote controller that will have the the basing start / stop recording functions. This remote control is also useful for taking selfies without using a timer and it will be easy to use you are moving. Hands-on. Unboxing Review

Finally a dedicated GIT2 thread; about time as the GIT2 discussion was really starting to cloud the GIT1 thread.
Nice robotarm there at the end! |

Like Git1 it won“t fit to any GoPro-Gimbal which is using the GoPro rear system connector. In other gimbals for GoPro 3/4 it should fit (like Git1 also)
GoPro Hero 4 Black weight is 89 grams. |
