Yeah, right!

We could start by just talking about Reynolds numbers but that is more than likely over his head...A simple way of beginning to explain Reynolds numbers is to state that you can scale down the full scale into a model but you cannot scale down air...

Back to the topic...

I would like to see a 90mm F-84 being the next model to be manufactured by Freewing. I would like to see the swept wing F-84F variant modeled...If the straight winged F-84E model is chosen I would prefer this model instead of the bazillion modeled versions of the T-33....The F -84, in any variant, is not modeled much at all and would make an interesting modeling subject. The swept wing variant would fly very similar to an F-86 except the F-84 would have better ground handling due to the wide stance of the main landing gear. The straight winged F-84E variant would have a large presence in the air due to its long straight wing and tip tanks.

Either variant would be good for me!!!

So, where are all these vast numbers of T-33 ARFs?

There are not many T-33s around. One large one, the RC Lander offering. Not bad, but has some issues and if I recall correctly, not currently available.

There is the 50mm fan offering from Sky Angel and that is about it for ARFs, not counting larger turbine models. Not many kits, either.

I would not sneer at any version of an F-84 in 80-90mm, but there is certainly LOTS of room in the marketplace for a quality T-33 in 80-90mm.

I would put it at my personally desired number 5 on my Freewing wish list.

1. F-100
2. Hawker Hunter
3. F4D Skyray
4. F-8 Crusader.
5. T-33/P-80

If they were clever enough to make the fuselage modular, they could also offer a different nose for a P-80 option. That would be cool.

A very nice but expensive kit is available from Wings on the Web. Video evidence that it flies well. I have one under much delayed construction:

A 80-90mm F8F Panther would be nice, a straight wing (but with large trailing area) with "enhanced performance at low speed (lol)".

Maybe HSD is about to release an EDF version of their large T-33? The turbine ready version $1.6k: https://nova-jets.com/products/hsdje...-turbine-ready

Thanks TB for pointing out a kit for Ho 229! I bought the plan from ebay (a AMA store?) but the build or bash is waaaay at the end of backburner...

Recent T-33ís:
RC Lander (I have one)
BVM (Iíve owned 3)
HSD (Looking at this model seriously)

And how many ARF EDF models of the F-84óZERO!!!!óSo yeah...Compared to the F-84 there are many T-33 choices.

And yes - I know the feeling - it's not foam, it's not made in China, and you actually have to build it

He offers a very nice 90mm Hawker Hunter :

and an F-4D Skyray :

I have a suspicion that you might have to build those too ...

I'd love a 80 or 90 mm T-33, straight wing f-84, or a F9F.
I recently got my Kyosho T-33 flying (finally). Here's an unedited video of a flight on Sunday.

As we are talking about foam ARFs, I discounted the BVM. Two available electric ARFs is not a huge oversupply.

Add in the fact that the expensive HSD needs a 120mm fan and the RCL really needs a bit more than a 90mm fan, the market is wide open for the kind of T-33 that Freewing might produce for us in 80-90mm, at a reasonable price point.
