I thought I saw 24Mbps posted somewhere in the specs. The clips I've recorded so far are averaging around 30. (stock settings 1080p 60fps)

RunCam 2 Miniquad footage from RCmodelReviews:

Raw video: Runcam HD 2 action camera (2 min 33 sec)

It feels like it's skipping frames here and there at this high speed.

Now ... the artifacts and the grain was more my concern. But the camera is fresh out of the oven and software updates can certainly improve here.

Give it some time- they will have to sell those things before they can afford to update I'll keep watching

mmm I think that's more YouTube than the camera, hopefully there will be some downloadable uncooked footage soon, not on the tube.

Anyways, I know there's no way it's $1. What is the real price ?
As I understood, for 1usd You will get a chance to win a runcam 2 based on hangseng index at some time ranging 1-100
and also a 10usd discount coupon for runcam 2
Basically 1usd lottery+discount coupon

You missed the point, if you open the video on youtube, and read the description, it contains the link to the downloadable raw file.
Ok, I will help you, here it is:

Thanks for sharing! Finally some RAW file to see.

I didn't notice any skipped frames but I did notice poor quality picture with lots of compression artifacts. Colors are too reddish as well.

To me it looks even worst than 65$ Xiaoyi. But Xiaoyi makes great 2k video, has adjustable bitrate, and fits better to some gopro style gimbals.

Raw file is choppy when played with VLC,but plays nicely with Quicktime.
