Next simple step up from kk2 board

I am not a novice but also not an expert at flying my X525s, but I do want to step up from using the latest KK2 controller to a GPS-based flight controller that will provide the following basic capabilities:
1) Return to Home
2) Flying in Acro mode
3) Flying in Auto Level Mode ( but Quad becomes stationary when sticks are released AND STAYS AT THAT ALTITUDE!).

The problem with the KK2 is that, the majority of the time, you have to be adjusting the throttle to compensate for going up or down. It IS a good controller, and you can occasionally hover for a while, but isn't designed for real hover mode.

If any one can please advise on a good GPS-based controller that is simple to program and adjust, I would greatly appreciate it!
