Polaroid Cube - Review

I know it's probably old news now but i couldn't find a dedicated review on the Polaroid Cube when i was looking into getting one. So i thought i'd have a go at sharing my experience with it after a couple of months of testing.

Polaroid Cube (original NOT Cube+)

1080p30 , 90 minutes recording time

Rubberized body (extremely tough)

47 grams and 35mm (1.4") square (great mounting on small quads, wings etc.)

Splashproof, all-weather, shock-resistant design

Built-in magnet on bottom allows for stacking and sticking onto any ferrous metal surface.
(Been mounting on quads and wings with nothing but magnet and steel washer, it only has ever come loose in the crashes... which has good and bad points )

I have found it to be an extremely functional and tough design. The mounting is ideal for the 210mm quadcopter in picture. anything longer (mobius/foxeer) and not enough room for batteries and the bulkier cameras (gopro/xiaomi) create lots more drag.

^ nice review

I should add that i ended up updating firmware

Allowing 13 Mbps bitrate and 15 minutes per video (He said that the 5 minute chunks by default were 'seamless' but this wasn't the case when i tested)

I should reinforce the point i made about toughness too.... that is a huge advantage over mobius camera. Most of the friends i fly with have at least one dead mobius or even gopro's .. the cube is still going strong
