Don't replace them yet though! Wait for blheli_s escs. That's my plan at least.

Agreed. a good "entry-level" ESC, but definitely not even bottom end "race-ready".

No idea how it is those horrible EMAXX 12A ESCs keep coming... they must cost more to make by now than the SN16A/SN20A.

Nice pants.

SN20 doesn't officially support MS since it's on a 16MHz Atmel. MS makes quads much easier to tune and everything runs cooler. I can't recommend them at all anymore unless you need to replace a bad one. I only can recommend ESCs that support MultiShot. It makes a big difference, even over OneShot42.

They are actually not bad xD I still have the EMAX 12A... they are still supported with BLHeli... (only downside is no dampend light)

Hello
First try with cyclone and XM20A...
Flashed with Multishot XB20
8 khz/4 khz
pid_process_denom = 2

Entering CLI Mode, type 'exit' to return, or 'help'

# status
System Uptime: 18 seconds, Voltage: 0 * 0.1V (3S battery - OK), CPU:12%
CPU Clock=72MHz, GYRO=MPU6000
Cycle Time: 125, I2C Errors: 1, config size: 1292

# tasks

Is there a list? Or just known by hex files in the Dropbox? I have LB20 and RG20 I would like to try MS on. From here on out will only be getting F39x ESC or better.

put your pid_process_denom to "1" (it will give you 8K pid) and check your CPU again it looks like you might have some room.

Getting this with Cyclone 8k/8k/multishot, is 26% ok for CPU? Just changed to pid_process_denom = "1" after I added MS, before I had 8k/OS with pid denom at "3".

# set pid_process_denom = 1
pid_process_denom set to 1
# tasks
Task list:
0 - (SYSTEM) max: 3us, avg: 0us, rate: 9hz, total: 0ms
1 - (GYRO/PID) max: 156us, avg: 88us, rate: 7751hz, total: 21sec

5 - (BEEPER) max: 8us, avg: 0us, rate: 99hz, total: 6ms
6 - (BATTERY) max: 40063us, avg: 1us, rate: 49hz, total: 47ms
7 - (RX) max: 94us, avg: 42us, rate: 49hz, total: 150ms

# status
System Uptime: 49 seconds, Voltage: 119 * 0.1V (3S battery - OK), CPU:26%
CPU Clock=72MHz, GYRO=MPU6000
Cycle Time: 128, I2C Errors: 1, config size: 1292

I will fly tomorrow too can't wait!

That's a hard question to answer. 5% CPU usage on a single core might be too high if you need to do 10 things that take 1Ás to do all within the same 1Ás.

All SiLabs based ESCs are capable of running MS. I've compiled all of those ESCs' firmware into the dropbox. I personally prefer F39X based ESCs since they can run at 32 KHz.
