I have two Traxxas Slashes so I just ordered a complete stainless steel screw set for them. I figure I can use several on my vortex and what I don't use on it, I can certainly use on the slashes.
I also have two Losi Eight-e 3.0 buggies and I have screw sets for them too, so I should have screws out the ying yang now!! |

I set out yesterday to PUSH myself. Did it involve lots of hiking, quad hunting, 1 broken prop, and a broken Sprionet cap? YUP! LOL!

Could you please elaborate? "Enough screws" doesn't tell us much. Did it replace all the hardware or just some of it? What does each screw weigh? Pics of before and after weight?

HS1177 on the vortex using kevin's configuration is good, but I think I see what you guys are saying. Definitely lost detail because of not having those 700 lines. Things look more blurry/mushed together. But, due to the sun being completely blinding half the time on the fatshark 700tvl cmos, it's a trade-off.

Hi Guys,
I flashed the fusion gen2 with a naze.hex instead of the irc fusion.hex. Now the board doesn’t want to be flash back and I can connect it to clmeanflight. I’ve tried different way to short the bootloader but havent been successful. Could you tell me what is the proper way to reset/flash back to the correct firmware? Hope to hear from you soon. I've tried that too. The vortex has a high beep every 2 seconds. Cleanflight says can't communicate with bootloader |

I know on the naze for example there are bootloader short pins that enable you to reset the board. Is that possible with the fusion board?

I've run into a problem upgrading Betaflight to v2.3.5. After flashing, BF didn't want to set my receiver as a serial Spektrum receiver in the Configuration tab or connect to my receiver in the Receiver tab. After multiple attempts , I exited BF and attempted to rerun the Vortex 250 setup program. The setup program reported a "COM problem". I have tried reinstalling Vortex firmware v1.0.0.26 as well as the original firmware v1.0.0.22. The Vortex setup program now recognized that my receiver is a Spectrum 2048 but isn't communicating with it so that I can setup the stick positions. The OSD screen times out after about 30 seconds and goes blank.
The ImmersionRCTools software Configure tab shows my Receiver Mode as SPEKTRUM2048 and the COM Port (Master) as ImmersionRC USB to UART (Com6). I don't see a way to reset the COM Port in ImmersionRCTools. I don't see a way to reset the Vortex to factory defaults so that I can start again fresh or an ImmersionRC contact number to call for assistance. Any ideas about how to proceed? |

Hold down the white button on the Fusion/OSD board then power-up the quad and continue holding down the button for 5-6 seconds then release the button. Plug the quad into the computer and Immersion Tools should see it and prompt you to upload firmware. Upload the latest 250 firmware. Then connect to CF and upgrade it. |

Runcam Swift
Hi,
I installed the runcam swift to my vortex pro yesterday. Fits perfectly, it is actually cable/plug compatible - plug & fly! And the picture is stellar. Couldn't be happier. Clear and crisp, adjusts instantly to any light - love it. I think it's the best replacement cam at the moment, |

My stock camera is going on eBay as I could never go back even if the HS1177 failed

Only difference is the mounting plates and hardware it comes with are junk and it has an interchangeable back plate. The other HS1177s are also cable/plug compatible. |

I like the way it has the OSD on a separate socket.

I finally got tired of my receiver antennas flopping around. Gas station coffee stir straws. FREE!!!
Is anyone able to fly? We have had 20+ mph steady winds for days now and there's nowhere to escape from it. |

Got used to flying in the wind now as that's most weekends gotta love 250 racers for this.
