Mate, I fly currently 27 different jets of every caliber and speed variety. This model wasn't design for speed, I built it only to confirm "CofG" for my larger design turbine version, ever since it is only a test bed proto, to run any of my 90mm power units, ESCs or batteries. I just love flying it on sunny, windy beach day,

"Marry Christmas", another fine day at the field, today using my Proto to run different capacity battery configuration, 6S/4.5+4S/4 as 10S, just to see how they handle high current draw.

My latest experiment with this "PROTO" is the testing of full alloy "Mercury" power unit on 8 or 9S.
That should make a pretty good sound at some 50 000RPM.

Before installation in my test bed "Prototype" I'm re-designing the power unit with additional large 3D printed bell mouth, had to pull it all apart and mod to redirect the power leads to the bottom of the shroud.
It will be interesting to compare the figures with and with out the intake, also some experimentation with the exhaust tubes.

nice work keep us posted on the testing . I was told that a inlet ring with a eclipse shape works the best .....so that's why the inlet I made for the dynamax fan is shaped like it is . ill guess 1 to 2 pounds of added thrust with a good inlet ring/bell mouth.

Hi Rog, it should improve compare to that sharp edge. First sample printed but I change it again to make it more stream-lined at the rear.

Motor leads re-routed after simple mod, with minor work to the mounting formers to fit the power unit.

Few test runs today, firstly on 6S just to warm it up and check my motor lead connections.
Next was re-program my ESC for 8S set up and few spool ups.
Sounds pretty good on full stick with rather nice figures after static tests with re-designed lip, and with out to compare the thrust and the currents.

After rolling out the new thrust tube, next static pull test will give me the true figures.

With the thrust tube the static pull dropped down from 3.8 to 3.5 kilos but minor 5 amp increase in c/draw translating in dynamic improvement.
After couple of test flights this morn I'm rather pleased. it runs immaculate, hardly audible so no noise disturbance over 'jehovatkas'.

Back in action to compare to my other "Delta Proto" powered by "SM89" on 10S, both almost silent at some distance.

Hello Norski, you can always sing the old 'mafioso's', "I DID IT MY WAY".
BTW, bad news, somebody flew last weekend in Planica "252" meters! They'll better get of their bums and enlarge Vikersound. Cheers.

Last night watching airliners taking off down wind at the local airport, probably saving on the fuel cost so they didn't have to make a huge "U" turn coming down south.
I personally wouldn't certify any model unless it can take off down wind, today doing a demo to my local Club members how it is done, taking off down wind with all 3 of my EDF jets of the crappiest flying surface I flew in long time!
