Where can I get parts for the Devil 380? I am interested in purchasing the turnbuckles and perhaps the plastic battery support.

ifheli, have you run into any tail hub problems yet? The guys over at hf are discussing some blade grip disintegration problem. I was thinking of purchasing one to see the design and improvements as well as fly an all belt heli for the first time.

Is there any chance you can show us what the tail hub, grip , screw, and if it's possible to insert a small wire rod into the hub holes for the grips how deep they go into the hub. I believe the hole goes all the way through and is it threaded all the way too? Reason is I believe the grip retaining screws should go all the way to the tail shaft to re-enforce the hub shafts the grips slide onto, either that or solid most of the way.

It looks like a weak spot has become obvious, guys on hf are talking blade spacers and really not the cause of the failure. Bad bearings can cause vibes that lead to parts destructing in flight, how are the bearings and how loose is the amount of tail shaft play, very very little? or some freedom of movement? Least is better especially in the tail, and tail belt vibes can worsen things quickly, I don't like the un-guided tail belt design and would fix it right away with my own intervention.

I have not had any problems yet. I did wonder when I first saw the tail hub if it would be a problem. The hole is the full length of the shaft part on hub. I found this out last night. It does not go thru hub. It is solid at the hole where tail shaft fits into. So it is like a hollow main shaft almost with the end threaded. The shaft / bearing fit is good on tail shaft, main shaft, and spindle. That was one thing I liked on my Devil was the bearing tolerances with shafts.

I will be installing the G380 tail shaft / hub, spindle, and O-rings on my Devil. I will still use the Devil tail grips and slider.

then the weakest spot is where the hub shaft section meets the hub itself, where the other dudes grips let go. Either a longer screw to go in past that point or a solid section there is acceptable especially with slightly heavier, larger, 5mm root blades. Looks like the hub was machined out of a dowel with a threaded hole cast into it at the time it was made from molten, then cnc'd down to fit the grips bearings later.

nice to hear of the bearings being a good fit, does the tail belt flop around in the tail boom? and are the pulley edges sharp where the belt meets?

I do not hear any noise in flight as if the belt is flopping around. I set belt tension just as I did with G380. I see no need right now for belt tensioner. When I built my first Devil I never notice any sharp edges on pulleys.

The two short comings as of now deals with the tail hub and 21T pinion. My pinion unscrewed in flight. I cleaned it up and used some high strength thread locker. Pinion has been fine since then.

Don't bother. Tarot only make drone now, no helicopter.

Devil arrived

Story how I got Devil for free:

Here is my experience with 450 class:
http://www.heligods.com/threads/450-...perience.2814/

I fly Align 600 PRO EFL, Gaui X5 and X7 Formula but I like playing with clones.

My favourite helis are Gartt GT 700 and 800 in which I use some Align parts:

What's the stock electronics like that come with the kit from banggood... The ALZRC branded motor, and servos? I know the speed controller will be good being a Hobbywing and we all know the kbar...

The motor is a copy of the Scorpion 1000kv motor. I have never used the servos so not sure how good they will be. The motor performs about the same as my Scorpion 1000kv I have on second Devil.

I got kit not combo. I will use proved TGY 306G servos, Kbar.

I did not decide about motor yet. I do have Align 450 class motor rewound by my friend Danielus (also free gift )

I do not care a lot about correct kV. I do not care about 6S setup. I want to see it flying low RPM at 3S low weight setup. In general SAB designs are pretty heavy and prepared for strong setups.

There was interesting, successful project of keeping Goblin 700 below 5 kg because in Germany you can not fly models >5 kg anywhere...
