Has anyone bought the full combo with servos? I'm mighty tempted at Banggood's current price of $435 for everything.

Nope - I got the Motor/ESC Combo
- and went with Turnigy Servos
- the Super Combo looks good though
- probably very similar servos to the Turnigy ones

I'd say the Alzrc motor is pretty good
- apart from the shaft coming out
- which is easy to fix (preventively)

How are the ALZRC 380 blades? I heard someone's blades ejected in flight.

The tail hub has been known to come apart in flight
- so, most people upgrade to the Goblin part at some point...

I've not had any problems with the ALZRC blades
- but I'm now running Zeal mains and Goblin tails

They aren't very good to look at aesthetically and geometrically, but as long as they work, it's a cheapo way to try 380 blades on my X3. I wonder why they just angle off the tips like that in cheaper blades.

OIC, I thought it was just a new canopy

So how many Devil 380s do you have now?
- must be three, I reckon!

The canopy is available separately,

Plus the new white/red one:

I have been waiting for the canopy / boom to be for sale and finally gave up and bought the kit. I have three Devils and one G380.

Do you get tail blow-outs on the G380 & Devil 380?

- i've had 2 or 3 tail-blowouts on my G380, which I thought perhaps meant that the HS was too low
- however, I managed to get a tail blow-out on the Devil 380 today

- it usually happens when I give it maximum collective, plus maximum cyclic

- perhaps, I need to reduce the cyclic travel?

Seems to be a common enough problem if the HS is below 3000rpm
- so, i should probably up the HS, or get one of these:

I wonder how I missed that on Banggood. Oh well I don`t mind having another one flying. I set it up with a higher HS so it is snappier than the other two Devils and G380. I just swapped pinions on the G380 so it will be close to my new Devil on setup.

I have never had what I would call a blow out of tail on any of them. I run from 3400 to 3600+ HS. What I have been getting is a slight bobble when doing tic-tocs or rainbows. I installed the tail tensioner on all three Devils this weekend. When I flew the new Devil and 2nd Devil the tails were solid. On Sunday I order a tail tensioner for my G380.

If you are running low HS then you should try either speed up tail gears from SAB or ALZRC. SAB is a 20T and ALZRC states theirs is a 19T.
