2016 Gator F3B in Cocoa FL is on Mar 4-6 2016

Gator F3B World Cup Event is on in Cocoa, Florida on Mar 4th, 5th and 6th, 2016
We have started registration. This is a great opportunity to fly F3B in balmy weather while the snow is still piled up against your door up North. The GatorF3B contest clearly has some of the best soaring conditions in the world for F3B with many fast speed times posted every year at the Gator.
  • The two fastest times ever flown (Lachowski 11.98 and Klein 11.90) were flown at the Gator in 2013 in amazing conditions.
  • 4 of the top 10 fastest times in the World were flown at the Gator in 2013.
  • In 2013 at the Gator - 21 speed runs were UNDER 13.85s
We have fast air!

The event is registered with the F3B World Cup and will be the first event on the 2016 calender. This adds much interest from the Eurotour pilots. In past years we have had World Champions like Andreas Bohlens, and Andreas Herrig participate from Europe. Every year the F3B pilots from Chile have also attended this event. We hope that Andre Cordova will bring his team once again this year.

It's a lot of fun and even if you don't usually fly F3B consider giving it a shot. You can fly your F3J model if necessary and you will learn heaps about thermal soaring. And the good thing is you get to learn from some of the best in the world.
We have previously brought International CD Roman Vojtech to Florida for the event and he may be back again for a fourth time. Check out his website here with many details of his famous LoLo altimeters etc.

Online Entry Form is here.

Nice!!
After visiting the F3B WC in Holland this summer I am looking forward to participate in a F3B contest. I will be happy with a sub 20 second speed run.

Here we go.
What a good excuse to dig ourselves out from the snow drifts and head south in March.........
Any indoor venues for some winter practice?

I am in too.

I have communicated the date to our european friends that attended in the past, there was some interest when I visited the Oktoberfestpokal in Munich this year. Hopefully some will come again.

Best,
Reto
