I was looking at a couple sites and it is hard to tell the difference between the 29, and the 50 what are the differences?http://www.fas.org/nuke/guide/usa/bomber/index.html

The dead giveaway on the difference between a B-50 and a B-29 is that the engine nacelles are very different, with large intakes underneath on the B-50.

Hi Dave. I didn't want to come off as a know-it-all; I don't.
The most obvious difference is the B-50 has a distantly higher fin and rudder. If you look at the engine nacelles, all 4 of the B-50s extend past the trailing edge of the wing; only the inner 2 of the B-29s extend that far. The B-50s have more external aerials. Many B-50s have fuel tanks mounted under the outer wing panels.

It doesn't take much to outdo me I was looking at the two for a few minutes and noticed the tail difference but it is pretty hard to tell between the 29,50 and TU now that you guys mention the other stuff it is apparent thanks for the info!

I'm just guessing it needs a bit thicker airfoil due to being a pusher without propwash flowing over the wing plus it could probably drop a fleet of semi tractors as bombs! Eddie are you Canadian too eh?

..naaah, not Canadian, (though my ansectors were) but you guys are great neighbors and I love going up to the Great White North whenever I get the chance.

I like the sparse population I have been to Mineapolis once that is as far into the states I have gone (Minot a few times) and it is a lot busier than the "Cities" around here other than the Minus 30c weather right now (doesn't last very long) we didn't even have snow till two weeks ago so all in all it isn't a whole lot different than the states

The third airplane in the photo is a Douglas C-74 Globemaster.. the daddy of the C-124 Globemaster.
Check out the neat bubble canopies for the pilots..

All nifty planes did anyone see that television special about the guys that found the (b-29) I think? in the Arctic lost from the war restored it out there over a period of years only to have it burn down while taxiing due to a power generator that fell off a shelf? it made me cry

What's REALLY impressive is to go to the Air Force Museum in Dayton where they've got a B-36 INDOORS. Stepping under the huge bomb bay doors and looking up is incredible.

Really wild to go there and walk under all those beautiful aircraft.

As a side story: my Dad worked for an Ohio road contractor that also worked for the USAF. He told me that when the B-36 was first flown into Wright-Patterson they had to extend the runways out and the last subcontractor on the job had done some final edging work on the runway. In those days straw was put over top of concrete as it cured. Well, in came the B-36 and the pilot set it down on the first few feet of the runway and reversed all 6...... and there went 2 miles of straw into the next county!

Tim is right on about the Air Force Museum in Dayton. In addition to 300+ aircraft admission is FREE (your tax dollars at work )
