Interest in new electric fly-in in North East Texas?
While attending the Board of Directors meeting for my club, The Texarkana Radio Control Flying Club, we began to consider having an electric event next year if we could drum up enough interest.
The venue would be to let any and all planes fly as long as it is electric powered. Time frame would be late summer to early fall. We are centrally located at the corner of Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Oklahoma on IH-30. Our club field is located at the dam on Wright Patman Lake and we have an asphalt runway. We annually host a large Big Bird fly-in in the spring that usually accommodates anywhere from 75 to 100 pilots. So we have room for a crowd. Let me know if you guys would like for us to put on an event. Thanks Jim Arrington Vice Pres Texarkana Radio Control Flying Club. |

Electric Fly In
I used to live in New Boston. I've been to your field one time when I was younger. My uncle bought me a plane but we never got around to getting it flying. Now that I'm older I have the capability to get my own planes flying and I would love to spread the word out here ( I live in Dallas) and see what sort of crowd I can bring East.
