Scored on Ebay???

That's about a $100.00 airplane, a $100.00 radio system, and a $50.00 engine, if you actually got an engine with the package.

Even with the "extras" , I'd consider this to be a pretty low score...

Too much money

I agree. I wonder if shipping was included in that $400. A big package like that is expensive to ship.

WHAT!? I think you did really good! Looks like it was hardly ever flown! Great looking! I'd say the price was about right if you were buying a RTF. Plane looks like it's about 100+, radio gear is worth 200, engine and stuff about 200 since you've got all the starting equipment and spare servos, and a complete radio setup! With all that stuff you get, how much better could you do? Not much.

radio gear is definetly not 200 dollars sorry. for 200 you can get some of hitech's programable radios. well, even if you may have got the bad end of the stick, you didn't get it by too much.

Hey, as long as the guy's happy with his "score", that's all that matters. Doesn't matter if we think he got ripped off or not. It's his money. Happens all the time on eBay.

I think he got a fair deal, not great, but certainly fair.
And as long as he's happy, that's great.

I tend to buy used stuff too and try to never pay more than half the new value.
My latest buy was at the local hobby shop. Sig Hog Bipe built really nice with pro looking covering ( starburst , etc.) and Super Tiger 75 installed. Paid $250 Cdn. ( about $180 U.S.). And yes, it had a piggy for a pilot.

Yep, got to have a pig for the hog. This isn't a slam agianst anybody but I always build my own stuff either from kit or scratch. If something is wrong with it Me and everybody else in the club know exactly who to blame. In all honesty, that deal wasn't bad. You figure $75-80 for the kit, at least that much for covering, CA, and hardware that didn't come with the kit (or hardware that came with the kit that you don't want to use) I almost always spend more than the price of the kit in hardware and extra materials, but thats just me. A Good engine that size $75-125. 4 channel with extra servo $160. I know some people are saying, but he bought all used stuff. True, but he didn't spend a couple of weeks building the plane either.

Chevy, what engine is it? If it happens to be an OS .46, then the deal is pretty good. I bought a new OS .46 AX from LHS and it was $105. Standard servos
are about $10 each new. Most important part is the radio system. An area where I don't like to skimp on.

Some of youz guys really know how to take the wind out of a fellow's sails!

I think he got a fair deal. I might even say he got a great deal if I knew the specs on engine and servos (extra ones, too).

Not to sound hurtful, but...
The Cermark Bobcat comes with the Hitec radio and a 42 engine, everything installed, for $299. Sometimes less on sale.
Enjoy the airplane, that's all that really matters.
