200 Watts in the Wattage Powerfan?

First of all, I was wondering if a wattage powerfan can handle 200 Watts, and secondly, if it can, I was leaning twords using a motor ~18 turns, would that do it, or what motor am I looking for. I would like to keep the cell count between 10-12 cells and amp draw ~15 A. a little over is fine.

Iíll try to ask a more general question then.

Between the Wattage Super 400 Cobalt motor, and the Permax 400 BB Motor (both Around $35) Which would perform best in the Powerfan in a 150 Watt range?

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!

Search the Jets forum. There will be plenty of information.

I would not use anything less than a 480 class can motor at 150 Watts. You can certainly stick that much onto a long can permax 480 on 10 cells or 3s LIPO, although not as much comes out.

The cobalt should be far and away the better motor, and probably can do the job allright.

But for fans wher every last ounce of thrust is important, I think a mega 16/15/3 would be the ideal sort of 'cooking' brushless to go for.

Alright, so I ether need to get a bigger fan, or look into brushless...
I'll check out the Mega 16/15/3
