Plane Transport

After a wonderful morning of Fall flying up here in NH, I thought I'd pass this thought along. When I took part in this hobby many years ago I carried my 60 size planes in a pickup with an 8' bed and a cap/canopy. Two on the floor and two hanging. Since getting back into it last year, I've had only a 6.5' bed and a tonneau. I made foam blocks to fit around the landing gear to stop the rolling but they still bounced around, especially the last mile into the club field. Over the weekend I got the idea of using a cargo net suspended from the bed rails. It worked great. Gotta be careful removing the planes from the net so nothing gets caught. Got the net at Walmart for $18.

Take the wings off and assemble at the field. Takes only a few minutes.
