Just musing: in view of some of the comments about the duck-like appearance of the machine, has anyone done any cosmetic changes to make it more pterosaur-like?

I was thinking of a web between the legs, and another between the leg and the wing root. Either very thin ply, thin plastic sheet, or rip-stop nylon. I don't think it would add significant weight or affect the aerodynamics, such as they are.

And maybe some claws on the LE.

Lol!!! It does look like a duck flying! I I think adding something to connect the wing root to the legs might do it like you said or a tail. The beak does look like a ducks bill though.

I'll give it a try. I'm retired and it's very cold out, so it will amuse me for a day or two.

Has anyone managed to find a source of spare parts that doesn't involve absurd shipping costs from China?

It seems to fly well but I just can't get past the appearance. To me it looks like a crazy zombie woodpecker. Lol. Nothing about its anatomy looks like a pterosaur. Not to offend anyone who bought one but truly the most ugly ornithopter I have ever seen.
