Program an ESC for Brushed motors

Good Morning all,
I have some no name ESCs for brushed motors and they are set up as FWD Brake REV.
My question is can I use a ESC programmer to disable the brake function.
I am not using these in an RC model but to drive wheelchair motors on stage sets so everything is at low speed.
I have a turnigy programming card which I have used on brushless ESCs before but I am unsure if this will work for brushed ESCs.

Most brushed esc can be programmed thru esc setup with radio no box or card needed..

I did a quick search and it seems to have no adjustment options, based upon what I found so far, like this for example: http://www.amazon.com/7-2V-16V-Volta.../dp/B00HWKMU7M

The Hobby King 45A brushed ESC does have the option to disable the brakes, and has excellent smooth throttle control. But it can't handle 4S LiPo.

As I thought. I will just have to deal with it.
I have a spare so I might connect it to the programmer and if the smoke comes out I will really know for sure that it cant be done.
Thanks for the replies
