Any advantage to using a flight controller for FPV racing and proximity flying?

I've got a spare CC3D flight controller and I was thinking of using it for an fpv flying wing I'm putting together. I'll be flying close range and racing with it. My only experience with a flight controller on a fixed wing is the Eagle Tree Vector, but "stabilized" mode keeps the wings level and that's not something I would use for this type of plane. Anyone use a flight controller like a CC3D or Naze32 on a flying wing and does it offer any advantage for fast/intense flying?

Yes! You can go through all kinds of flight modes on a flight controller such as an APM. On top of stabilize you can use flight modes such as fly-by-wire mode. I find flying in these modes to be the most fun!
