I don't know.... I wasn't totally turned on by the 1100mm, but this looks a bit more interesting. But it looks like they've actually downgraded the power system... 850 kv p-15 vs. 950kv p-15 on the Dallas Doll. Now if i had the option of a power 25 then things would get interesting!

Yes Horizon is abandoning the Parzone name, thus all the reissues under the E-Flite badge.

the pilot and plane both look very similiar to the FMS and durafly planes...figured it would be a matter of time before the companies crossed paths on planes

maybe it was marketed towards intermediate pilots who don't have a mustang in their hangar and want something bigger than 1100mm. I wouldn't get one. For $10 more, you can get a Freewing 1400mm P-51 with all the bells and whistles... plus you can put in your own receiver.

As for the comments of it being an FMS plane.... FMS builds an 800mm, they also played a part in the Durafly 1100 P-51, and then they have the 1450 and 1700mm versions. But they do not make a 1200mm P-51. Thus this is not just an FMS being sold as an E-flite.

Look at the pics on HH website. Look at the wheels and the e clips they use to hold the wheel on. Check out the sliding battery tray.

Yup, looks the same to me too. Right down to the bumps on the wings just forward of the ailerons. It even has the same slide on attachments for the drop tanks that FMS has used on all of their planes for years.

Interesting that on the link you provided, that FMS (Diamond) said it'll be out in late Spring, post was made in March 2015. I'd guess FMS designed it, and sold it the design and molds to Horizon...

Yea! Another FMS plane distributed through Horizon. I wonder if this one will have sub- par electronics and lack the general quality that E-Flite planes used to have. Oh-well pretty sure I'm gonna hold out for this one hit the market first.

It is. ZFoam is much softer and much less rigid than most other EPO brands, though.

So maybe they're using FMS molds and FMS hardware with their proprietary foam formula?

I hate ZFoam. I'd much rather have the Durafly/FMS/Freewing rigid EPO.
