Hi Duke,

Beautiful plane!
You had great video of it flying. Why not post it here?

Good one Duke, now we can get to work

I am going to take Dukes fantastic design and hopefully draw up some plans to build it from Depron, I sure hope we can recreate one as good as the one you built and that it will fly as good ... I will try my best mate

Please post your build pics and flight videos so the guys can see what an awesome job you have done

Here is the Depron version ... so far ... would you guys prefer a Clark Y-ish type airfoil or a flat wing with KF airfoil for ease of building ?

Hey Duke, how do you fancy testing it without the tail fin ? or maybe we could use a clear plastic one so it wouldn't be seen ... what think you ?

You could leave off the vertical stabilizer if you have gyro stabilized differential thrust on the twin motors .

BoC:
My thoughts, or similar.
Messing with the Vert stabilizer is asking for trouble IMHO.
Especially with a twin that might not have perfectly balanced thrust.

Tony: Good to see you here participating.
One has to keep those 3D skills current. :-)
I know bent foam is your Forte !

I will wait for your design to come rolling off the printer.

I was also thinking that a Mobius DVR placed just far enough forward to
eliminate the props from the Wide angel lens would make a nice FPV.

Even though I have a 600mw tx for my Mobius I couldn't help but order one of those
Mobius docking stations just a moment ago. It only has 200 mw but the "fit" is so nice
I thought that maybe it'll be good match for my Vid Hood.
B'sides the 600 mw is a messy install and not easily moved from one plane to another.

I took my 50" Sback and made it full fuse so when I finish it
I HOPE this design will soon be ready for the Knife !

This looks promising !

WOW BoC !
That was a nice demo !

I never dreamed that the gyro would be that good.

Where were you when the vid was taken ?

Certainly the School grounds were empty what with the Teachers on strike !

Thanks for the suggestion BoC but my feelings are to NOT have gyro's I personally like to fly my planes myself not with the help of a gyro

When my The Twins right engine flamed out, smoke and all, I noted ZERO adverse yaw.
But It has huge sides and over sized V-Stab too.

This design has little side area, some sweep back to help but I still like the V-stab.
A V tail might make it more sporty !

On The Twins I did use mixed YAW on the motors.
Differential thrust is quite effective.
It might be all that is necessary if you are really ANTI -GYRO !

Without gyros all those Drones and Multi Copters would be nothing
but a pile of useless broken props and junk.

This one is Dukes design guys and it does fly great ... so I wouldn't want to change much ... its Dukes call

I am just helping out with the drawings and plans to convert it to Depron, Duke used this wing for his build and built the rest in Depron I believe ... I am sure he will fill you in on the details when he comes back on line

Aaaa, no problems !

I couldn't help myself so I jumped into CAD myself and just been experimenting around with
different skins and sweeps etc.

That's not me in the video - I just remembered seeing this video a while ago , and was impressed with how the finless "rectangle" was stabilized with a gyro .

Woah! You guys are quick!
Nuteman- I'll edit the first post with the video and some build shots.

V-tail, gyro, clear tail doesn't matter to me, it's your plane your building. Lockey is supplying some (bloody awesome) plans and I was crazy enough to give the design a go.

Very many thanks to Lockey for offering to mank plans for this bird, I can only imagine how much works involed.

Edit-See 1st post for video and build shots of the prototype

Thats great Lockey! That engine pod cover has less pieces than I had to endure. Good work. You are really get the detail down superbly! Definitely A grade.

So,...just to pick your brain on this one...Do you actually build the model piece by piece then the computer assembles the parts in a plan form?
I can see you built the 3d outer skin first, then you cop it up into components to design the inner structure. ..
Am I the right track?
