So, if I don't have my own 3D printer, do I find a maker spot and use one of theirs? Any ideas of weight ... cost?
Shapeways will print anything you want.

You can also check your local library. I've seen 3D printers showing up in these locations of late.

I have a habit of uploading my stuff to see how much it'd cost to have Shapeways print them. They make a higher-quality print from a structural standpoint, just shy of injection molding. But they're not cheap, and it costs extra to get a smooth finish. Native parts are "fuzzy" because they're printed from fused powder.

And for hobby stuff, some tweaking of the CAD model might be required. I do a lot of 3D printing and it's heavy trial-and-error when you don't have source CAD models to fit your new parts into. I might print 2 or 3 iterations before I get exactly what I want. I have a design for inner gear doors for the T-28. I haven't finished them, even though I started the design 2 years ago.

Has anyone found a sure bet for landing gear for this beast? I’m currently working on revision 2. I hope this time around it holds up.

Hey Guys,

Picked up one of these over the weekend at a Swap Meet, the receiver had been removed. I'm looking for advice, is the AS3X necessary or would you just forgo it. I've never set one up so it would be a learning experience. Does anyone know if the set percentages etc. are available somewhere? The hardware has been changed and I have a Castle Creations BEC on order.

Thanks for you help.
