I am very glad that others are getting help from my posts as i get help from others after all. Unfortunately it is not going fast due to lack of airfield at the time but i have plans to finish it one day. I have complete the coverage of the fuselage using oratex which i highly recommend. By far the best covering material i have used. Just follow the plans and have in mind that the big bee plan has the extended wing which is 72 inches. Lazy bee with normal wing is 40in so the 50% bigger (big bee) should be 60 in. I will personally build the 60 in wing Please post pictures of your build.

Measured with a Staedtler protractor on some original plans for the 40" span Lazy Bee: 11degrees. There are actual dihedral brace templates are on page 1 of some original paper plans I have: 1/32" ply, about 2.75" long, one against the leading edge, one against the trailing edge. On the online plans the leading dihedral brace is shown as a 'hidden' detail on half scale front view on the wing plan sheet. I'm glad the fuselage build is on here already, because it seems more complicated than the wing. Does anyone have an AUW for this plane? I'm thinking 150 watts for an outrunner should be plenty of power for floating around. I’m building the 40” wing. |

I know that progress is slow, it's been almost five years, forgive me about this but I hope that it will be ready to fly before spring. Almost finish my wing, covering and hardware is next.

https://www.rcgroups.com/waterplanes-174/ The Outerzone page for Lazy Bee Floats has a guesstimate, in the comments, that your idea should work. https://outerzone.co.uk/plan_details.asp?ID=7209 |
