what prop should I use

I only have one short test flight on this plane, the wind just wont die down!
It climbs pretty well but I wonder if it could do better with a different prop.
Moter is out of a litestick and has a 10x4.7 prop.
The plane has 48in. span and 9in. cord and the AUW is 8.68oz with a qualcom battery pack.
Big plane, small motor, light weight and low drag (this thing really float's with power off)
Thanks for any help Randy

name

I never gave it name, it's my first tailless plane and I didnt know how it would fly. It flys great, but still no name.

If you running the DX-A motor, you can use up to 8 cells for short flights, with a heat sink and the same prop. What's in a qualcom pack? 6 cells?

A 9x7 prop may give it some more speed, but not necessarily better climbing, but better in windy conditions.

Looks great by the way.

qualcomm cell's

Sorry about that. My battery pack is 2 lithium ion cell's from a surplus Qualcomm cell phone battery pack, a lot of people use them now so I sometimes just call them "qualcomm packs". If you havent tried them I hope you get to soon because they are cheap and will fly a lite-stick till you get tired of looking up! The down side is you only get the punch of a six cell pack.
The 9x7 prop sounds like a good idea tho and it's one I'll try.

I'm flying DX-A's and Qualcomms exclusively on my 3 planes now (TM, TIFO, and MiniPleaser). I've had great performance from the 10x8 GWS and 10X7 APC (SF). You might try one of these higher pitched props. Probably stesses the motor a little, but I've not had any problems in cool weather with a heat sink.

BTW, I like the plane! How about some details!

props

you may want to give the ARC-1 with the 3mm hub a try... It works great on the A or B motors. With a rebuild fixture you can also change the pitch and the diameter of your props too.
