It's good to be geek!

If you guys REALLY want me to live you forever, you would redo the hardware too, and make it smaller, and do away with PWM altogether. :-)
I really like this rx, but it is so frickin big!

Saijin_Naib: You can send ExtV but you need a sensor wich measure this voltage and communicate it to the receiver by the iBus "sens" port. But it should be quite easy to make such a sensor wich a cheap arduino nano... A guy named benjamincburns already worked on this, see this post.

MrSatoV: you want to make the iA6B receiver smaller? It would be difficult, as the radio module takes nearly all of the space. You could remove all the channels output pins and just keep the iBus one, but that's about all the space you could spare.

Yes I've seen this mod but the iA6B receiver is not the same hardware. I quickly looked inside a few month ago and I don't remember why but my conclusion was that it was too difficult.
But I definitly should give it some more time

(btw, not a really big fan of soccer but since we're both Belgian: Belgium won again today! yay!)

I found a hidden menu!

It adds these options:

Sticks adjust (to calibrate the center point of the sticks)
Def sticks mode
Key test (to test every pushbutton or switches on the transmitter)
LCD test
LCD brightness
Bind
RF frequency (to adjust the carrier RF frequency of the transmission)
Voltage adjust
Firmware update
Restart
FlashReset

Some are accessible via the usual menus, but some are'nt. Anybody knows if there is a way to trigger this menu using by example a combination of the keys?

I tried to find any reference to a calibration menu online, but I came up empty.

The Turnigy T9x calibration procedure does not work (throttle trim up + roll trim left while powering on).

Both sticks down left when you switch on the TX power.

Thanks for your patch - great work.

I have produced an iBus to PPM converter and I can now use the 8 channels. Details on Bitbucket https://bitbucket.org/daveborthwick/ibus_pic12f1572 if anyone wants to make their own.

Great job!

You used the .bin file to upload the firmware?

Yes. I hooked up my Segger J-Link JTAG dongle, made sure I could read the current firmware out, then crossed my fingers and programmed your firmware in. All worked fine. Thanks.

hello world, ChibiOS/RT running on TGY-i6, it's just flashing the LCD backlight now.
https://github.com/stinkydiver73/tgyi6_chibios
(We can run chibios on the ia6b too.)

Okay. What does that do?
