SJCAM M10+ Announced - Owners thread, Reviews, Suport questions

SJCAM announced new, M10+ camera. This one should be quite similar (if not the same to SJ4000+), like we had with SJ4000 vs M10.

Full review with samples and comparison with earlier M10 models can be found here

It seams that manufacturer finally has its own channel, and this is their video of M10+.

Are they finally going to improve their customer relations? We can wait and see.

According to video, they improved packaging, from what I see there is a camera bag that comes with camera. Good move by SJCAM imho when it comes to packaging.

Edit : it seams that GB has this camera on pre-orders now http://www.gearbest.com/m-goods-id-231919.htm?islan=1

Yes, the M10+ is like similar to the SJ4000+ (just like M10 to SJ4000) just in another shape.
If the camera bag will be included, it would be awesome!

It appears that this bag is included. I would rather have different sensor though. Honestly the one on SJ4000+ is quite weak for photo, especially considering 149$ price tag.

It's the same sensor as in the 4000+, only has 4mpix and SJ Cam advertises it of taking 12 Mpix pictures which means again that interpolation is used (quality is lowered).

Don't like it when they do that; what's the use of mentioning those interpolated resolutions? They're no use and only look good on the box/website for those who don't know what's going on. Same goes for frame-rates that just show frames double. Unfair and bad practice imo!

But this is very useful, these days I checked some review for SJ4000 plus, I see some reviewers mentioned it is 12MP sensor, also many people think it is 12MP sensor.

For 12MP pictures, the default Novatek platform offer this, so almost all of such cameras use this setting. And we also declared 12MP photo for GIT1, but I checked some GIT1 review, I will tell the reviewer directly it is Sony IMX322 Sensor, the effect pixel is 2MP, I don't want to show wrong info though it will help sales.

I hate this kind of work by manufacturers, its deceptive.

But, lets be honest, these things bother only people who show more interest in the camera. Tech-savy people who bother more investigating camera capabilities. That is probably less then 5% of all consumers.

Do you really think that little Johny down the street, or someone buying a camera to record his fishing, or even moms would give a damn about it? All they see is : "12 mp! Damn this is like a photo camera. I will zoom the images and create lots of photos of my family."
The problem is :
- people have no idea what an action camera really is, they just see cool product on large tech websites, and thinl it will record videos like the ones they see on movies and create photographs like a 2000$ Nikon.
-people lack honest information online. They are pushed various products in their faces all the time by all sorts of people.
-90% of online reviewers are paid idiots who spend 20 minutes with product before making a video on it (not just in action cameras, for tech related products in general).

While consumers remain blunt and uninformed, companies will do things like this. Fake 4k resolutions, fake interpolated images, fake cameras themselves.

Here I am not referring to any particular manufacturer or company, its just how things work online these days, pretty sad.

Yes, but advertised image Sensor as 12Mega Pixels CMOS-Sensor.
If you don't care about the photo quality, the sensor will be not so important.

And now there are already two revisions of the M10+, a normal first batch one (experimental) and another newer revision that has the Gyro sensor built in.
