Hi guys
Some pages back, few of you discussed about this light tx, did you tested it, it is a good tx?

For those wanting to shrink down the Immersion 600mW here is one way.
Carefully remove connectors

Any plans to restock on the LittleBee ESCs before the frames ship?

yes, nice, I like that way of removing the hard mounted SMA and replacing it with the short coax with frame mounted right-angle SMA.

Any pointers on how to carefully remove the SMA connector?

The LED board has a dedicated 1A BEC built in, you can power it directly from 2-4S

Well I've managed to remove them in a not so careful way before :P. I reckon you'd need hot air to get it off but it'd be a little tricky since it's double sided.

I removed my SMA by cutting it carefully out, and then removing the remaining 'pins' using soldering station.

+1 on that. It is better to destroy the connector than the PCB.
I have used a Xacto razor saw to cut off connectors, multi-pin, SMA, etc. Then it is easy to de-solder the remaining pins.

Get a Hacksaw Blade, grind the offset in the teeth flat so they are the same
as the rest of the blade thickness or slightly narrower. Use a grinder / linisher etc.
Keep this in a safe place, once you have one you'll use it a LOT !
( NOTE: Dip in water as you go,, Don't let it go blue or it will anneal, go soft. )
You now have a high quality tool that is as good as a File that does very fine cuts.
Carefully saw 95% of the way through the 2 or 4 prongs (Gnd Tabs), then gently
crack them without stressing the centre (active element wire) connector.
Un-solder the active element and the whole thing should come away.
You are just left with the stubs of the connector, which will easily come off
now with a little heat and a wipe of the soldering iron.
DON'T try the shortcut of snipping the prongs with cutters or you
may shatter the tracks off the PCB. It will only be good as a paperweight
then, and not a very good one at that
Good Luck.

BTW the same blade is ultra excellent for cutting slots into Foamies
to add 1x3mm carbon reinforcing strips etc. It cuts like a LASER.

Added: you don't need to do the entire length, just 3" to 4", 100mm or so.
