E-Tech GYC300 Gyro from Gearbest - Review

E-Tech GYC300 Gyro from Gearbest - Review

Gearbest sent me a E-Tech GYC300 Gryo to test it and do a review. Obviously, It isn't because i have received this product for free that my opnion won't have objectivity, i don't have a contract with Gearbest and my opinions are free.

E-TECH GYC300 photos :

Description:

Dimension : 8.2mmx18mmx30mm.

Delivered without manual instruction.

As we can see on the photo above, potentiometer can't be easily access with screw driver. Need to widen holes.

Description:

There is already a rectangular shape removed from plastic cover. It is easy to widen holes.

How to use :

2 potentiometers :
  • Gain : apply more or less steering during gyro action.
  • Setup : Adjust center of steering.

Plug between steering servo and chan1 on receiver. Need to be vertically placed. After plug and esc switch on wait a little bit more than 10seconds to have gyro activated.

Exemple of mounting :

Results :

• E-TECH - GYC300 Gyro - From GearBest • (0 min 34 sec)

Exemple in use :

Car : turnigy SCT 2WD.
Motor : Skyrc lepard 9.5T 4370KV.
ESC : TSKY 120A Review here.
Radio : GT2B, RX : Flysky GR3E.

• Turnigy - SCT 2wd - Dust/Gravel/Rocks with Gyro • (11 min 48 sec)

I have volontary used rear tyre (dynamite speedtreads breakaway) who don't have grip on this kind of surface to have a car very hard to control. Results : Gyro do his job, it is more fun to use a 2wd on this kind of surface with this gyro. Not easy on this spot because there isn't too much place and ground isn't flat but we can do long and wide drift.

Conclusion :

Pros :

- Cheap and free shipping
- Easy to use and adjust.

Cons :

- Have to widen holes.

I will do further update if something change on how work this product.

Thanks.

I don't own drift car so i don't know how do drift but what is sure is that i can do drift with my SCT that i couldn't do before. I will try on my RZ4 who is a TC car, but before i need to build a mount for it.

From what i know a gyro help to do drift.

Is a gyro essentially the same thing as Spektrum's avc and Traxxas's stability management?

Imo it is a cheap gyro for somebody who doesn't want to put more buck in gyro. There is surely better gyro. But this one do his job for the price.

Hello there,

I just got one Gyc 300 for my HPI GTR 35.
I have installed but the Gyc 300 just turn to right side.
I have configured and still nothing.

Is there any secret do it?

It's plugged on the CH 1.

Many thanks.

Imo, don't search further, it is faulty, ask for a refund. Do a video to be sure the seller understand the problem, if he don't want to do a refund open a litige if you have used paypal.

One of my GYC 300, believe me or not but not from gearbest ^^, was faulty too, like yours, i have been refunded.

Hi,
I just got this gyro from E-Bay seller. Tested with Wltoys A212 and P929. First gyro came probably faulty, it was just compensating to the right, so I asked for re-send, but the second gyro behaves the same way. Have you asked for refund? Did you buy another? Your experience?
K.

I received two GYC-300, the first one wasn't from gearbest and faulty, i have been refunded. The second one wasn't faulty and from gearbest. It would be a bad luck to have two faulty gyro but it can happen, in this case i would ask for a refund.
