Which CA glue is best?

I just recived a bottle of Jamara CA glue.... I have tried Zapp and Greatplanes CA glue, boath very good, and the Jamara glue seems to be equal to zapp ang GP.... only used it once so far.... Iīve just cut my leg free from the model... (no itīs not that bad...)

which glue do you use?

I've use the following with great results, in no particular order:

Goldberg's Jet
Flash (carried by Bruckner Hobbies)

Stay away from Bullet made by Hobbico (Tower Hobbies). I don't know if they still sell it. This was a few years ago. It takes too long to set and you end up holding the parts together forever before letting go.

CA Glue

I've noticed very little difference in the performance of various brands of CA, except that they are all prone to deterioration with age. A new container of "X" brand will definitely outperform the one that's been on the bench open for a year. That's a given!

But, rest assured, if Frank Tiano sends me a whole bunch of free ZAP, I'll swear that it's the best!

I see no difference in any one brand I just buy what they have at the store. But I keep my unused glue in the freezer I have had some that was 5 years old and still ok. But once it is open you have to use it up or will go bad.

thanks guys!

I once tested a Graupner made CA glue....atleast it was called glue, but it didīt work like glue must have been to cheap! only $3 for almost one oz.... in sweden Zap or Greatplanes glue cost around $10 for 20g or 0,7oz.... but the big diffrence is that they really work the way they should!

as with everything else...youīll get wath you pay for!

How much is the Brand Name, song and dance worth to ya $$
I'm fishing here but I'd say most of the research
& testing is done by a few. The product is now sold by the Brand name. Find out and spend you're money on those that did the homework and will continue to do so.
Joe's Glue/All Bulk package will work but dose he?.
Now if I could only find my 20year old stocks in KrazyGlue.

Rather than the glue's performance, I seem to judge them on the container's performance. The glues seem equa;, if new.

The Zap brand containers seem to be more forgiving when you forget to wipe before putting the lid on. Great Panes and Flash and some others have long snoots that seem to like to glue themselves closed.

I believe in using a glue that is stronger than what it is glueing, reasonably priced, chemically safe and capable of being wiped up after spills..... aliaphatic glue or super aliphatic glue. CA is for fingernails and rear vision mirrors.
