!RCG's July Place of the Month


This month's featured Place is the Chiltern Model Flying Club located in Central Bedfordshire, United Kingdom. This BMFA affiliated club has a spectacular 10,000 square meter grass runway and 22 acres of sweet farmland to fly on. When it gets cold out, they have a heated clubhouse with power and plenty of parking and secure gated access. The club has around 50 members of various experience levels with a primary interest in fixed wing glow/gas and electric aircraft. Check out the Chiltern Model Flying Club Places page.

The Clubs runway is 10,000 sq mt(square meters) not 10,000 feet in length.
No wonder you thought it was a really great flying field.
100' wide x 900' long= 10,000 sq mt.

Ha, you're right. Must have missed that small detail. Still a nice runway and plenty of open field to fly from.
