Hey,...Troy, Simon,.. after you guys left yesturday, a guy turned up with a TTn in stock mode.. Lenny and I where just about to leave and we noticed the bike sitting on the drivers stand.. The guy has seen us race there before.. He's just learning, seems to be doing ok,.. but atleast he's getting it out onto the track..

I stuck around to give him a hand/setup tips to get it to corner better and some tips on getting it to stop better.. (The brake cable setup on the TTn's are just crapp.., the outer sheeth on all of the TTn's are too short and when you put on the brakes the inner cable has to pull over the engine mount at a right angle taking half of the load off the braking force needed to get it to stop properly etc.., it was the first thing I noticed when I got my first TTn, the cable sheeths need to be 5-10mm longer)

I hope he comes to our meet next Sunday with his bike, I told him we could get it all sorted for him in no time..

Two days of racing at Gilston

Looks like it will be a busy weekend this weekend with racing on both Sat & Sunday at Gilston for anybody who is interested.

Quoted from Murwillumbah from R/C Tech Forums.

TOTALY WILD

TOTALY WILD want to do two articles on the Club SATURDAY APRIL 28.
One article on the club and types of RC cars
Second article on RC families

We will run a fun day on Saturday the 28th as they can not turn up on a Sunday which is our usual race day.

As soon as I know how long they will be with us I will be able to post a proposed meeting schedule.

What we do need, is as many people to turn up as possible. It would be appreciated if you could enter online at http://www.alycat.com/index.html. Pull down menu "TOTALY WILD".
This will help us decided on the race day format.
This will not be a full race day but a shortened event such as the Grand Opening. Which track runs first will be decided when we get the times that TOTALY WILD wil be with us and the number of entries in each section.

We also need three volinteer families to be interviewed about thier sport.
Off-Road Family
On-Road Gas Family
On-Road Electric Family
If you are interested in being on TV please contact Peter Gately or Darren densley. All contact details are on the club website http://www.gcmr.org.au/contact.asp

PLEASE SUPPORT THE CLUB AND TURN UP FOR A SHORTENED EVENT. THE PROMOTION WE RECIEVE FROM THE TWO ARTICES THEY WANT TO RUN WILL BE OF GREAT BENIFIT TO YOUR CLUB.

So whos up for two days racing?

Almost no chance for me. I'd love to come but I've got more appointments than I have available time this saturday.
Another weeks notice and I might have been able to swing it.

On another note, I got an SS5800!. I should have it by the weekend.
Now I just need a SS or SS+ ESC and i'll swap the 6.5 and GTB over to the Ricky and run the SS in the race bike.
In the mean time i'll run the SS with the GTB.

I should be good for Saturday and Sunday, but I'll be keeping it low key on Wednesday,.. too many days of fun and she'll get with me.. lol

Cool Troy, so now you'll be upto speed with us,.. not that you were'nt before.. Your bike will be more controlable now... But the GTB in the ricky,.. I'd be doing the steering mod first..

What are you upto this weekend Ben...???

Saturday is out for me, but I will be racing Sunday. I feel like im letting the team down lately, but I have a good excuse. Rachel and I are expecting a baby.
I was a little shocked at first but getting used to the idea.

Also, I have a lot of B'days (including my own) during April and May. Hopefully after May I will be back into it with renewed vigor.

I am also a little embarrassed to admit I have been playing with a 4 wheel vehicle lately. Got this for $80 AUD off ebay and while its just a cheap crappy Tamiya kit, I have a lot of fun with it. Just got the body painted yesterday.

Nexzzt,

It's alright to play with a 4-wheeler every now and then. Just keep it in the proper perspective.

Same here. I have a savage, a quad, I'm kinda building a 1/10 F1, and have a 1/10 Ford F-350 high-lift rock crawler kit out in the garage.

But I still have the most fun with the bikes.

Nice. I have a corally f1 with an Mtroniks brushless setup in it. It kinda nuts but a lot of fun.
